FINAL NOTE: By it's nature, an online course requires a higher degree of patience from everyone involved to ensure displayed knowledge of programming.

An accurate and fair assessment of student skills requires testing or a heavy workload (and often both). IF we decide to eliminate exams for security purposes, competence must be assessed from students' exercises and project work. Decreasing the workload will decrease the material available for the instructor to review student knowledge, and also limit students' opportunities to display their competence. Motivated students comfortable with independent study will find this environment most satisfying.

Thanks to all the CIS110 students for helping us iron out the wrinkles in this course. Good luck!
