Meet the Instructor


David Race Bannon is Department Head of Computer Information Systems at Wake Technical Community College, where he is lead instructor for Introduction to Computers CIS110. He also teaches Programming & Logic CIS115 and JAVA Programming CSC148. He holds a Masters in Computer Science, a Ph.D. in History, Black Belts in Hapkido and Kendo, and is fluent in Korean. He has appeared on The Discovery Channel's Secrets of the Warrior's Power, The History Channel's In Search of History: Samurai Warrior, and A&E Ancient Mysteries' Samurai!. He also teaches martial arts and military history.
